Multi-faceted Refractions

Spring (Break) Finally Arrives

March 23rd, 2007 · 1 Comment

As I noted this past December (in my post, Winding Down for the Holidays – Not), the previous eleven weeks have been full of innovation and excitement, more than I can remember in recent memory. The energy and enthusiasm of my colleagues was infectious as they integrated new projects at a rapid pace.

So instead of the six projects that I highlighted, it turned out to be double that. And this was on top of helping coach our Science Olympians, guiding my yearbook staff through the Pareto Principal (that the last 20% of the book sucks up 80% of our energy),  and stressors from my personal life (items breaking down that need repair in the house, teaching my 15 year old daughter how to drive), I am ready to take a moment to slow down, breathe deeply, and reflect on all of the wonderful events that occurred. I hope to read for pleasure, awaken when I want (which is usually within 15 minutes of the time my alarm clock goes off), and catch a few movies that I haven’t taken the time to view.

I have shared the results of a few. There is a backlog of project results that I will be reflecting on and sharing with you over the course of our two-week break.
